Very cool art project by Jay Shells “Rap Quotes”.

For this ongoing project, Shells created official-looking street signs quoting famous rap lyrics that shout out specific street corners and locations. He then installed them at those specific street corners and locations.

[VIDEO] Oil Sands Debate at Cambridge House Investment Conference – Marin Katusa from Casey Research and Rex Weyler from Greenpeace

22 Jan

An excellent, well informed and well thought out debate on Canada’s Oil Sands and especially the proposed pipelines that are supposed to run through BC.

It’s great to see some common sense thrown in this mix and not just yelling and screaming from both sides.  It seems like the pipeline debate in BC is dominated by PR talking points on both sides.

It’s refreshing to see 2 people who are clearly on opposite sides of this debate talk it out and propose some sensible solutions.

Featuring:

Marin Katusa – Casey Research Chief Energy Investment Strategist
Rex Weyler – Co-founder of Greenpeace

How to Sit in a Chair and Enjoy a Cup of Tea

15 Jan

A great read from the Raptitude blog.  In today’s go go go world, sometimes all we need to do is stop and do nothing.

First, slow down, like you’ve just turned off the highway into a quiet neighborhood. Normal rat-race speed is unsuitable for what we’re about to do. Hurrying through the process of relaxing defeats its purpose.
